I have a medium-sized double room to rent. It is in a gorgeous very old alms terrace cottage, set within communal gardens.

The room is 8'x9' with a built-in wardrobe, large chest of drawers, double bed and a view over the back gardens. It will NOT fit a desk so please consider these measurements before you apply to view.

To suit the dynamics of the house you will be professional and 40-65 years old. You will be quiet, clean and tidy, and not work night shifts.

The cottage comprises usual stuff, kitchen, dining room, lounge, bathroom and three bedrooms. Internet. TV. Wooden floorboards throughout. It is kept clean and tidy, is nicely decorated and a lovely peaceful place to come home to. Bike sheds.

You will be sharing with two fabulous ladies who are not a couple.

The cottage is one minute's walk away from Mortlake overland train station, which takes 20 minutes into Waterloo, 5 minutes to Richmond or Putney, and 10 minutes to Clapham Junction. Buses running to Hammersmith, Richmond, Putney and Clapham are also close by.

The river, shops, restaurants, bars, supermarkets are all within 5 minutes' walk. Richmond Park is fifteen minutes away.

Ideally you will be a friendly professional who enjoys company and a drink or two, and also your own quiet space. You may occasionally offer to help with DIY and gardening.

One month deposit in advance to secure, plus one month rent when you move in. References essential.
