Short let - double room

I have a spacious double room to let from early May as my lovely roommate is sadly [for me!] heading to Barcelona for a few semesters.

The room is the ‘master’ bedroom on the top floor [no lift] of a terraced house that was turned into flats a long time ago. It has loads of room for storage, and I’ve been adding nice, homely touches [blackout curtains etc] over the last year or so.

There are two bedrooms, one bathroom with a bath/shower, a separate kitchen, and a large shared living room. There’s also some storage space in the hallway.

The rent is £1200 per month. Bills are separate – I’ll add more details on the breakdown shortly, but they aren’t excessive.

The flat is in a great location for commuting:

5 minute walk from Pimlico Station [Victoria line]
10 minute walk across the bridge to Vauxhall Station [Victoria line & South Western Railway]
20 minute walk to Westminster
One minute walk to bus stop for 87, 88, C10
Five minute walk to bus stop for 2, 88, 36, 185, 360
Five minute walk to Millenium Pier for boats towards the city

Location

The location is perfect for anyone wanting to make the most of London but is thankfully situated on a quiet street with a great community [I’m currently helping to organise our next street party!].

You would be less than a five minute walk from Tate Britain, along with the river itself, for anyone who likes to cycle/jog [or just likes to be near water].

The flat is walking distance from Westminster, Victoria [great for theatres & restaurants] and is generally convenient for everything.

There are also a few great pubs close by if you’re partial to a Sunday roast but don’t fancy cooking.

About me

I’m a professional woman with a 9-6 office job, and I’ve been living in the area for about ten years. I’ve lived in a few other cities and countries, and I have to say London is my favourite.

I have a lot of interests, from music [singing in a choir], to art [I am a trustee of an arts organisation] and I’m often out and about seeing friends and enjoying the city.

I would describe myself as a sociable introvert, so I do like to get to know anyone I’m living with and enjoy the occasional dinner/wine night, but I’m also happy in my own company.
