THE HOUSE
The property features 2 double bedrooms with a shared full bath w/tub, one master bedroom with full ensuite bath, a massive dining and living area perfect for candlelit dinners and game nights, a modern eat-in kitchen with a smart fridge w/speakers, a bar in the dining room, and a mezzanine loft on the top floor with arched beams and a vaulted ceiling. The loft is a WFH paradise, with a sunlit study and office space with a reading nook, desks and chairs, and a wall of bookshelves ❤ During the evenings, the flat will be an awesome chill space and a haven to relax and unwind with plenty of space to relax by yourself, do some yoga, have a chat or host friends. I’ve lived in this mews since August and it is surprisingly peaceful and quiet for Brixton, super simple to travel from and close to Herne Hill farmer’s market, Brockwell Park and Streatham Common if you are craving some nature time. The back patio gets a ton of sun and would be perfect if you are into urban gardening and the flat also comes with a parking space as well as guest parking. The flat has underfloor heating which saves a ton on energy bills and council tax per year for this property is 2,299 pounds or 63 pounds per person per month over a 12 month period.
THE FLATMATES
I am looking for collaborators to create the most wonderful house share ever…I would love to find people also looking for a community vibe but feel are too picky to live in a 12 person warehouse. Like - we celebrate each other’s wins and have dinners together but also always take your shoes off, everyone communicates really well and we live together in an over-the-top gorgeous house :) I am 29, Canadian and recently moved here - I work in IT for an arts organization. I love hula hooping, traveling, museums, thrifting, reading, live music, dancing, doing my skincare by candlelight and getting all dressed up to go to the pub/nowhere. I deal with chronic pain and fatigue so hoping to find understanding mates who don't mind me having chill weeknights in when energy's low after work. I always make sure to keep the shared spaces in shipshape for everyone (incl. myself) a decluttered yet cozy space totally boosts my mood. I identify as non binary, pan orientation and I am the go-to hype person and photographer of my friend group. I am trying to explore London, meet people and co-create a beautiful and joyous space.
Looking for people seeking somewhere to call home for at least a year who also enjoy socializing and are keen on pitching in to create a welcoming energy & making the most of the property's entertaining features. This would be a long-term housing commitment to truly cultivate a sense of community living together so it will be on a joint tenancy and references are required.
I'm hoping to confirm housemates by this Saturday, March 4th and aiming for a target move-in of March 25th. Viewings can be arranged ASAP - please reach out if interested and we can meet as well. Can't wait to welcome new housemates to experience the magic of this historic gem! Please tell me a bit about yourself and why you want to live here, confirm that the move in date works for you and that you can provide references and proof of income and are comfortable signing a one year shared lease. Thanks!
