LONG SUBLET IN QUEER CREATIVE WAREHOURSE
Seeking subletter from mid June- end of September in a 4 person Queer warehouse (with a possibility to extend dependent on leaseholder)
Rent + bills (pcm) : £625 rent paid first of month standard, for June £312.50 to be paid on 14th. Deposit is £650, bills around £80-£100 per month. Move in available from 11th June
Tenancy : We are looking for someone to move in from Mid June initially for a 4 month basis, with possibility to extend. There is a subletting contract in place with the lease holder who lives here and offers security with at least one month notice for moving on/out
About us :
Now about us lot that live here. Amiot is 27 they/he theatre maker/ forager extraordinaire, Meg she/they 32 circus performer and Smash is 44 they/them body piercer/ performer.
This is a low-key, chill, neurodivergent house, not a party house, with one housemate being totally sober. We also don’t smoke inside. We all work different times, varying from nightlife to daytime shifts.
Description: This is a warehouse within the Harringay warehouse area. It’s 10 mins walk to Manor House Tube station, 10 mins from Harringay Green Lanes over ground. There are also decent 24 hours bus stops not far from the space. This is a 4 person warehouse and 3 people already here so looking for 1 person to move in, no couples. Wheelchair access is not likely due to width of doors in the space. Can measure on request.
The room is downstairs next to the living room area along with another bedroom. There are two other bedrooms upstairs and there are 14 steps on the staircase. The room has high ceilings with one internal window. There is space in the courtyard for a bike to be placed. The living room area is large and we are happy for that space to be used for work area etc as long as all agree and its using a fair sized area of the space - usually each housemate has their own desk space. This is not a scent free house and there is a doorbell for guests/ visitors to use for entry
Access info : The front door has a small step into the kitchen. Then there is a large step into the main living area. The bedroom is downstairs next to the living room, so while there are not stairs to access it, there are the two steps mentioned. There is no bath only a shower that has a very large step into it and no rails to assist with getting in and out. There is access to a court yard at back and there is a step out there as well.
Benefits + references etc : Benefits are accepted and no need for references but we will want a meet up before anything is agreed.
Are pets allowed/negotiable? This would need to discussed by all housemates, there are currently no pets in the Unit but lots of cats living in the warehouses as a whole.
The room offer is on a sublet until the end of September as that is when the current Leaseholder will be moving out and giving up the lease. However if you would like to live here longer term there is a possibility of extending the sublet, dependent on the Unit finding a new leaseholder by September. Happy to also offer it as just a sublet for the period!
