Bright & quiet double & single rooms by Morden Hall Park with great transport links to Trams and Northern Line Tube
The Room & Property
Available from October are two bright and quiet rooms (one single and one double) in a warm, welcoming 3-bed end-of-terrace home.
Both rooms overlook the rear garden and face west so are quiet and peaceful and offer lovely sunset views if the weather allows. 😊
The double room recently renovated comes furnished with a comfortable double bed, wardrobe with full length mirror and shelves/Ikea kallax with boxes. A chest of drawers, desk or other furniture can be provided if required by you. The rent is £800 + bills
The single room is currently being setup as an office (as you can see in the pictures) until I move out early October and can be rented furnished or unfurnished depending on your needs. It gives you a great ‘blank canvas’ opportunity to give suggestions and have input on what furniture/layout you want for the room which doesn’t come around often. The rent is £700 + bills
The house features:
• A large, fully equipped kitchen with wooden worktop overlooking the garden
• A cosy recently renovated living room
• A lovely rear garden perfect for relaxing, barbecues or cultivating veggies and herbs if you enjoy gardening and a shed with space to store bikes or anything else
• A bright downstairs bathroom with a bath, shared with a maximum of one other person
• High-speed broadband accessible throughout the property
• Private parking on the driveway for two cars
Bills include council tax, electricity, gas, water and broadband. Estimated between £120 - £180 pcm per individual depending on if two or three people are living in the house.
Both rooms require a deposit of one month’s rent.
The Location & Transport Links
The house is perfectly positioned for both nature lovers and commuters, offering exceptional transport links:
• Trams: Just a 3-minute walk to Phipps Bridge Tram Station, providing a quick 9-minute ride directly into Wimbledon or 20-minute ride to Croydon
• Buses: A bus stop is located just 1 minute from the house, offering a swift 8-minute bus journey to Colliers Wood
• Underground: You can enjoy a pleasant 18-minute walk through the park to Morden Station or a 20-minute walk to Colliers Wood Station both on the Northern Line with easy and quick access to Central London
• Green Spaces: A 3-minute walk brings you right into the beautiful grounds of Morden Hall Park, perfect for morning runs or weekend walks
• Restaurants and Bars: A 15-minute walk from the historic Merton Abbey Mills offering a vibrant riverside market hub featuring independent shops, pottery studios, weekend markets, and fantastic pubs and restaurants making it the perfect spot for weekend brunch or a relaxed drink by the River Wandle
The Household & Ideal Housemate
You will be sharing the house with my sister (homeowner) who is very friendly, sociable, and respectful and one more tenant (to be found). She values a good balance between socialising and respecting everyone’s independent space and privacy and she is looking for two tidy, reliable individuals to join the house. Sorry, no couples, pets or smoking.
If you think you would be a great fit for the house, please drop us a message with a little bit about yourself, what you do, and your preferred move-in date to arrange a viewing!
