AFFORDABLE accommodation offered in Muswell Hill N10 area, excellent opportunity for a Female homesharer who is looking to live in a lovely home.
We are a Not-for-Profit charity in London who run a Homeshare programme, where we find Homesharers who are willing to provide approximately 10 hours a week of help/support and companionship to a householder who has a spare room.
TRANSPORT
• 10-15min walk to Highgate Station on the Northern line.
• 4 min walk to local bus stop on Muswell Hill Broadway.
HOUSEHOLDER
A lovely lady in her 80’s, lives in a lovely spacious 5 bedroom house with a lovely garden in Muswell Hill. She currently has a tenant and a family member living with her but feels she like her house to feel like a home again. She spends most of her day pottering about the ground floor, she enjoys reading and likes to spend time in her library room with a wide selection of books and reading materials. She is well known to her neighbours and often has visitors pop in for tea/coffee and a chat.
She is able to get around the house and can manage stairs, likes to go on short walks to get some fresh air with the use of a mobility aid with seating for rest stops.
The ideal homesharer would be someone who is caring and easy going to support her in her home, this would help give her peace of mind that she will be secure and be able to continue living in her own home.
She is a light eater, so will prepare light meals for herself but welcomes help from a keen cook , particularly in keeping her kitchen tidy. She likes to settle in front of the television of an evening and heads up to bed anytime between 21:30-22:00.
Friends/neighbours visit quite frequently during the day, her family members do not live nearby but will visit as often as they can. She has a cleaner that comes for 1.5 hours weekly and a gardener that comes monthly a carer comes in for 3 hours per week to take her shopping and to do some light housework and a gardener comes to maintain the garden monthly.
ACCOMMODATION
The property is located on a pleasant quiet suburban well-lit street. Large mid terraced 5 bed house over three floors and a well maintained garden.
On the Ground floor there is a hallway that leads to the library/reading room, a walk-in shower room and the lady has her own kitchen and dining area.
First floor consists of bedrooms and a self contained separate kitchen and dining area for other users to share, a large family shared bathroom and a laundry room within the bathroom space.
Second floor consists of 2 double bedrooms with a WC. All bedrooms are equipped with own basins.
Good WiFi connection.
The Homesharer will have a large double bedroom with double bed, sink in bedroom, a storage cupboard, dresser with drawers, street facing room. Desk/table and chair provided.
Use of the shared kitchen diner on first floor and family bathroom with laundry area.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
The room is available November subject to DBS, Reference and ID checks and after an initial meeting has been organised
