Hi, thanks for looking at the ad for this lovely, bright double room for rent in a peaceful house in New Eltham SE9. The ideal lodger would be a clean and tidy, mature working professional or mature student who, if working from home, only does so on an occasional basis.

The room overlooks the garden, is quiet and spacious with large built in wardrobes offering plenty of storage space and furnished with a double bed, good sized desk, chair and bedside table.

All bills are included i. e. council tax, gas/electricity, water, TV licence, broadband (no phone). 1 month's deposit and references required.

Happy to discuss Mon-Fri lets at a reduced rate and open to short lets.

Off street parking is available. Smoking in the outside areas is fine but not in the house.

It's just 7 minutes walk to New Eltham station (zone 4) so great for commuting. Trains take 20 minutes to London Bridge (typically running 4 times per hour).

Easy access by car from M25 J3 / M20 via A20 and well situated for getting to A2 & Blackwall Tunnel.

The house has a garden and if you want more outdoor space to stretch your legs, Avery Hill park is just 5-10 minutes walk away.

There's a small row of shops / takeaways close by on Avery Hill Road and more shops / local businesses / pubs / library around New Eltham station on Footscray Road.

Several buses run frequently from outside the Co-op by the train station taking, for example, 5 minutes to Eltham High Street or 25-30 minutes into Lewisham. Or you can walk up to Eltham High Street in about 30 minutes to go to the multi-screen cinema, bigger library, leisure center with swimming pool, most supermarkets, high street chains, most banks etc. etc.
