A beautifully maintained double room is available in a stylish two-bedroom flat, just a two-minute walk from Norwood Junction station.

Set in a characterful period property with impressive 10-foot-high ceilings and original sash-style windows, the flat has a lovely sense of space, natural light and old-school charm, while still offering all the modern comforts you’d want from a contemporary home.

It’s the kind of place that feels calm and comfortable the moment you walk through the door.

🛏️ Your room

The available double room is furnished with a bed and wardrobe, so you can move in without having to furnish a room from scratch.

The flat has a spacious open-plan kitchen and living area, making it a lovely shared space without feeling like you’re constantly on top of each other.

The kitchen is modern and well equipped with:

• Full-height fridge freezer
• Oven
• Electric hob and extractor
• Washing machine
• Dishwasher

The kitchen also has wooden flooring.

The bathroom has a bath with a waterfall shower, WC and basin, along with a Bluetooth speaker built into the mirror. Because sometimes your morning shower deserves a soundtrack. 🎶

🌿 The housemate vibe

I’m looking for a friendly, clean, tidy and easy-going working professional to share the flat with me.

I’d ideally like someone who enjoys having a home that is relaxed, peaceful and well looked after. Someone who is considerate of shared spaces, respectful of each other’s routines and understands the importance of having your own space and downtime.

I’m not looking for a party house or a revolving door of guests. I’m looking for a home where we can both feel comfortable, come and go as we please, have a chat over a coffee or glass of wine, but equally be able to shut the door and enjoy our own space.

Basically, a friendly and relaxed home without the awkwardness that can sometimes come with sharing.

All bills are included in the rent, so there’s no need to worry about splitting utilities or keeping track of multiple payments each month.

Shorter lets can be considered, although I’m ideally looking for someone who would like to stay for a minimum of three months.

The location is incredibly convenient.

Norwood Junction station is just a two-minute walk from the flat, with a large ALDI directly outside the station and a Tesco Express around the corner.

There are also plenty of independent coffee shops, pubs, restaurants and local spots popping up in the area, so you don’t have to head into Central London every time you fancy going out.

🌳 A little green space

South Norwood Country Park is close by and is great for walks, running or simply getting some fresh air.

There’s also a local parkrun if you’re someone who likes a Saturday morning run before rewarding yourself with coffee and breakfast afterwards.

For something a little more structured, South Norwood Leisure Centre is around a 10-minute walk away. Operated by Better, it has a 25m swimming pool, training pool, 32-station gym, sprung-floor studio and around 30 fitness classes each week.

One of the biggest advantages of the location is the transport network.

Norwood Junction is exceptionally well connected, making it a great option if you work in London, commute regularly or simply want the freedom to get around without relying on a car.

• Gatwick Airport: around 25 to 30 minutes
• Central Croydon & Crystal Palace: around 5 minutes

And when the trains inevitably decide to test your patience, there are also bus services towards Brixton, Elephant & Castle, Peckham and Lewisham.
