Hi there, and thanks for having a look!

I’ll be straight with you about what I’m after, because it’s the bit that matters most to me. I’m heading off travelling for a while, and I’m not really looking for someone to cover the rent. I’m looking for someone I can trust – someone who’ll treat my place like it’s their own, keep it tidy, and who I can count on while I’m away. If that sounds like you, I’d love to hear from you. The room

It’s a big, bright double room in my flat, right in the middle of central London. It’s properly furnished and really comfy, and there’s a spare mattress if you’ve got a mate or family staying over. The flat has high ceilings and big windows in every room, so it gets loads of lovely light and you’ve got a nice view of the old buildings on the street. I keep it clean and I’d ask you to do the same – it’s a nice place to come home to, and I’d like it to stay that way for you too.

What’s included

Everything you need to just turn up and settle in: cooking basics, dishes and cutlery, a proper desk to work from, heating, extra pillows and blankets, hangers, an iron, plus a carbon monoxide alarm and a fire extinguisher for peace of mind. Wi-Fi and all the other utilities are in the rent – the only things you’d cover are gas and electric.

How long?

No strict minimum or maximum. I’m much more bothered about who you are than how long you stay. Just look after the place, make yourself at home, and enjoy it.

Getting about

Paddington station is a 2-minute walk, so you’re basically everywhere already
Heathrow in 20 minutes on the express
Hyde Park is a 3-minute walk – perfect for a morning wander
Oxford Street is about 10 minutes away
Buses 7, 23, 27, 36, 46, 205, 332, N7, N205 and the A6 coach all stop nearby, and the night buses mean you’re never stuck getting home after a late one

The area’s safe and friendly, and there are more cafés and restaurants on the doorstep than you’ll ever get through.
