Looking for a mature, professional flatmate to move into my two bedroom flat, in the heart of Queens Road, Peckham. Women preferred, please.

My sister is moving out and so I have a lovely, bright double bedroom with a private bathroom on offer. I am a 28 years old professional working in the City and I mostly work from home.

The room comes with a king size ottoman bed (lots of storage underneath) and a large double fitted wardrobe, as well as two floating bedside tables. The chest of drawers included in the photos will be removed, leaving room for you to bring your own, if needed. I am happy to negotiate if you would rather bring your own bed.

The flat has two bathrooms, so you will have private access to one of the bathrooms, which has a shower cubicle, toilet and sink, along with ample shelves for storage. The shower ceiling needs repainting (visible in the photo) so this will be done before someone moves in.

The best part of the flat is the open plan kitchen and living room, which has lots of light and overlooks the communal back garden. The kitchen has ample storage space and is fully equipped (air fryer, oven, microwave, toastie maker, kettle, pots/ pans, cutting boards, knives and cutlery) which are all available for you to share.

There is space in the living room for you to have a desk for home working, if that is your preference.

The flat itself is at the back of a quiet, gated development just off of Queens Road. It's right next to Queens Road Peckham station (it takes 4 minutes from standing inside the flat to standing on the station platform!). Queens Road Peckham has the Overground line (Windrush line), and Southern Rail trains which get you into London Bridge in 10 minutes. The flat also has a couple of bus stops that can take you down into New Cross or up to Elephant and Castle.

There are lots of young professionals (late 20s, early 30s) who live in the development and there is a nice sense of community here. There's a group WhatsApp, people take in each others packages and have a few group social events a year, which could suit someone who is new to the area, or new to London.

Within two minutes walk of the flat there is a Tesco Express, two bakeries / coffee shops, a pizza restaurant, a wine bar, a yoga studio, a fitness studio and a brand new reformer Pilates studio!

Rye Lane is about 18 mins walk away, for a great selection of bars, restaurants, pubs, shops, a cinema and more. Nunhead is about 20 mins walk away with more pizza restaurants and pubs near to Peckham Rye park and East Dulwich.

I'd love to find a female flatmate in her late 20s to 30s who is both social and independent and values maintaining a clean and tidy home. Ideally someone who has a balance between working from home and in the office. I'm up for the occasional catch-up and I value other people's space and privacy too.
