The room is a generous 3.27m x 4.26m, with a double bed and storage underneath, wardrobe with built-in drawers, and table and chair. Rent is £875 pcm including all bills and Wi-Fi, with a one-month deposit.

The house is spacious and modernised, with a large open-plan kitchen, dining and living area, plus a separate bay-windowed front room if you want somewhere quieter to read, work or relax. There is also a private back garden, room for a bike and permit parking on the street.

The kitchen is well equipped, and you would share the upstairs bathroom with just one other person. There is also a separate downstairs loo.

Custom House for the Elizabeth line and DLR is around 10 minutes by bus (or a bit longer on foot), with Plaistow Underground a similar distance in the other direction. Stratford and the Docklands are both easy to reach, and Newham University Hospital is very close.

You would be sharing with two gay male professionals, aged 41 and 27, including the live-in landlord. We both have busy lives and are often out, but like the house to feel relaxed and sociable when we are home. We are happy to chat or watch TV together, but equally happy for everyone to do their own thing.

We think the room would suit a friendly, considerate young professional in looking for a comfortable home rather than a purely functional houseshare.

Occasional working from home is fine. Overnight guests are fine within reason. Non-smokers preferred, although smoking outside is okay. Pets considered. LGBTQ+ friendly (obv).
