Hey - we have a bedroom available in a beautiful modern 4 bed townhouse. The bedroom is fully furnished with its own ensuite bathroom. The house is very light and spacious, and extends over 4 floors. There is a large open plan kitchen and living room which opens out into the small garden. We are working on the garden but there is a sunny patio where you can sit out, and we grow some herbs and veg too.

The development is about 18 years old and is located on the grounds of a Victorian era teacher training college. As a bonus, in the main building, there is a well stocked gym and library with public wifi available for all residents.

You will be sharing with an international couple in their 40s who travel a lot both for work and for pleasure. We are open minded, friendly, love food and are regularly out and about doing stuff. There is also another lodger who is away working for most of the year.

The house is in between East Putney and Southfields, and both have lots of local charm, restaurants and independent shops. In East Putney, there is a Waitrose, Co-op and Sainsburys, and in Southfields an M&S, Tesco metro and Sainsburys. Wimbledon All England Lawn Tennis Club is nearby and there are local tennis clubs near the house you can join if you feel inspired!

There is an overground station in Putney (about a 15-20 min walk), excellent bus links and district line underground stations (East Putney and Southfields - both 10 min walk from home). Apparently, of the over 280 underground stations in London, only 21 are south of the Thames so to be close to two is very handy.

This is our family home, and we would like any tenants to give it the love and respect that we ourselves would give. We would prefer a friendly female, clean and tidy student or professional, and would not want guests or partners to stay over (no couples please). We would not want any pork or alcohol to be consumed in the house either. And home working would not be possible during the week (Mon-Fri).

The property is fully furnished as is the bedroom that’s available. The room rate includes bills (high speed wifi, electricity, gas, council tax, access to main building - gym & library). The room comes with its own ensuite bathroom, wardrobe, chest of drawers, desk, and double bed.

We would also be interested in discussing a Monday to Friday let.
