We’re advertising a lovely double room in our friendly flat share and would love to find someone fun, sociable, easy-going and considerate... someone who enjoys being part of a home, while also valuing their own space and privacy.
We are two working professionals: Bryony, 37, is a nursery teacher, and Dom, 34, is a cameraman. We enjoy the occasional cinema trip, chats in the kitchen after work, gaming, films and general geekiness. We've been to Comic Con a couple of times and it would be lovely to find somebody who would go with us!
We’re hoping to find someone who feels like a natural fit for the flat: someone clean, tidy and considerate, who’s happy to share the usual household bits and treat the place like a home. As we both work outside the flat, it may suit someone who also spends at least part of the week out at work.
The kitchen is very much the heart of the flat, where we cook, chat and catch up after work, and we also have the occasional movie night in the living room. It’s a friendly home, but also a relaxed one - with Dom working shifts, school nights for Bryony, work trips and holidays, there’s a natural balance between spending time together and having your own space.
The room comes with furniture, but the bed belonged to the previous tenant, so you’d be welcome to bring your own and make the space feel like yours.
The flat is in a really lovely spot, set back from the main road with a shared garden and a nice community feel. We’re close to the bus depot, just across the road from Putney Heath, and within walking distance of the river. It’s leafy and peaceful, and within a couple of minutes you can be on the heath surrounded by trees.
There are two great pubs nearby, Roehampton and Wimbledon Village are a short bus ride away, and Putney High Street is around a ten-minute walk down the hill. You’ll find Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Lidl, M&S, shops, restaurants and cafés nearby, with larger supermarkets also within driving distance.
It’s a convenient location too, with East Putney and Putney Station both around a ten-minute walk away, and trains into Waterloo taking around 10/15 minutes.
If this sounds like your kind of home, we’d love to hear from you.
