Shared living room and kitchen: we've actually decluttered a bit since the picture was taken!

A large double bedroom will be available for single occupancy, earliest 20 October, in our charming plant-filled Edwardian home.

We are on a quiet side street in Rotherhithe, minutes away from the Thames, the Mayflower Pub and Windrush/Jubilee lines. The bedroom faces east toward the garden. It's furnished with everything pictured except the desk and chair (there's a spare desk that you can use, or bring your own). The flat is on the first floor, has a lot of natural light, an open-plan kitchen/lounge, a shared bathroom shared with one person, a patio and private garden, and a small guestroom or study. We also have a great landlord whom we rent directly from.

The area is a hidden gem in London, quiet and safe, yet well-connected:
- 2 mins to Rotherhithe station, 7 mins to Canada Water and Sainsbury's
- 15 mins to Surrey Quays Shopping Centre with big Tesco, Boots etc.
- One stop to Canary Wharf, 10 mins to London Bridge, 20 mins to Waterloo.

You'll be living with me, a freelance journalist and PhD student. I am tidy, friendly and respectful of your space. Interests include dance, yoga, parkrun and vintage fashion. I'd like a housemate who is also tidy, independent, and respectful of the shared areas, preferably female or nonbinary but no absolute requirement. Not a party house, but I'd be happy to grab a drink together or have occasional friends over. Would best suit a working professional or a mature student looking for a calm, creative home.

Council tax is Band C. If you're also a full time student, we can apply for an exemption.
