👋 Who You’ll Be Living With
You’ll be sharing the flat with me! I’m a 29-year-old professional (💅) I work from home some of the time, which is why I value keeping a balanced and functional living space. I am looking for ideally a queer/gay professional to take over the room and make this place their home.
Here is a bit about what I am looking for in a flatmate:
*Cleanliness is my number one priority. I take pride in keeping a tidy, organized, and clean home, and I am looking for someone who naturally shares that same standard and respects our communal spaces.
*Social but respectful: I have a great circle of friends and occasionally love having them over to the flat for drinks or a casual catch-up. I'm looking for a flatmate who is friendly, social, and would be more than welcome to join us and hang out whenever they feel like it!
If you are looking for a clean, respectful, and friendly home in a peaceful neighborhood right by the river, please get in touch with a little bit about yourself!
👥 The Flat
We have a beautiful, modern, open-plan 2-bedroom flat where both bedrooms come with their own private ensuite bathroom!
We have a unique and flexible setup depending on your work routine:
*If you work from home: You can take the larger bedroom (previously Kat's room). It has plenty of space to fit a desk setup so you can have your own dedicated workspace. In this scenario, I will keep my desk set up in the lounge.
*If you don't work from home: I would prefer to take the larger bedroom. This allows me to move my desk out of the living area entirely, giving us much more communal space to relax and enjoy in the lounge.
Both bedrooms are bright, comfortable, so you will have a great space regardless of which room fits our routine best.
The communal area features an open-plan lounge and a dining setup. Connected to this is the kitchen with a storage room along with a bright balcony that looks out onto a green (not currently) park with city skyline views in the distance.
📍 The Area (Rotherhithe, SE16 5AD)
The flat is located in a very green, peaceful, and quiet pocket of Rotherhithe. If you enjoy a calm neighborhood to retreat to after a busy day, you will love it here.
Best of all, we are just a 2-minute walk from the Thames. There are a few cute pubs right along the river walk. If you enjoy walking, you can actually walk all the way to Tower Bridge directly along the riverfront in about 40 minutes.
While the immediate streets are strictly residential and quiet, we have:
*Co-op Food: A quick 3-minute walk from the flat.
*Tesco Express: A 10-minute walk away.
*Tesco Extra: A larger 20-minute walk away for major grocery runs.
Transport & Local Amenities:
* Windrush line (Overground): An 8-minute walk away.
*Jubilee line: A 15-minute walk away.
For broader shopping, dining, and leisure, the area around Canada Water station is easily accessible. There you'll find the local library, a selection of cafes, hawker-style food markets, and green spaces like Southwark Park and the docks to enjoy on weekends.
