Beautiful large ensuite room in lovely Rotherhithe

The room

Move-in date: between 16th-22nd November (but let's talk!)

I’m sadly moving out of this BEAUTIFUL and massive 2 bedroom 2 bathroom flat in Rotherhithe.
I have lived here for the last 3 years, and in the aera for the last 7 and I have loved it.

THE FLAT 🏡
The flat is stunning and has literally everything you need. It's on the 2nd floor (with a lift). The open space kitchen + living room + dining area is actually massive, we have actually struggled to fill it up but if you’re into decorating, or have your own furniture, you’re more than welcome to bring it with you! Kitchen comes with dishwasher, washing machine, oven, microwave etc. There are also 2 small storage rooms.

There’s a little balcony that faces the car park, the sun hits around 11ish so it’s lovely during summer.
The building has a 8am-8pm concierge, so all your parcels will always be delivered to the porters who are very friendly. There's a stunning rooftop accessible to anyone, great if you want to sunbathe, work, exercise or just chill up there.
There’s also an allocated parking if you have a car, and a locked storage room for your bike!


We’ve been renting the flat directly from an agency, which is a local one specifically to the area, and manages it for the landlord who lives abroad. They’ve been brilliant, they always respond the same day and fix even the smallest issues extremely quickly.


THE ROOM

You’ll be staying in the master bedroom, with your own private bathroom. It’s extremely spacious, comes with a king-size bed, 2 bedside tables and built in wardrobe. The desk, chair, and shelves unit are mine, but happy to sell them at a reasonable price if you want them (mainly because it would help me take off the load when moving). The bathroom is also a really decent size and very new.

YOUR FLATMATE 🥁
You’ll be sharing with Jack, who has the smaller room and uses the main bathroom as his own. He is in the music industry and works from home, and usually goes to gigs and events in the evenings or weekends. You can expect loads of +1 invitation to gigs and festivals, and cool niche vinyls around the house.

We’ve met through spareroom over 5 years ago, became great mates and then moved in together. He is honestly the best. Kind, very friendly (a Northerner's trait apparently), and enjoys a nice flat dynamic and likes to chat around but equally appreciates everyone’s privacy.
Jack is super chilled in the flat, a man that doesn’t need much so he has mainly let me decorate/move things around, so if you’re into making the place you live in your home, he is more than happy to.

ABOUT YOU ⭐
Looking for someone nice, tidy and chilled, not a party animal but who likes to be social and have a laugh too. Need to pass the reference checks and earn 30 x your share of the rent, and have a valid right to rent in the UK. You will be taking over my tenancy, and you will also be asked to pay for your part of the deposit.

THE AREA 🏞️
Rotherhithe will always have a piece of my heart. If you’re into a quiet, calm, cosy environment just 2 steps away from the water, but very very close to central London, this is it. 
There’s a local Tesco 3 minutes walk down the road, and you’ll live next to a lovely local farm facing the river with a lovely cafe that makes great coffee and paestries. You’ve got 2 buses that take you to central London just steps away from the front door, and Jubilee line and Overground only a 15 minutes walk. Also, a great wild park just behind the block, and some of the best pubs in London are in the area.


COSTS 💸
Rent for the ensuite is 1250 + bills which are around 180 each (most of it is council tax, which is ridiculously high).

VIEWINGS 🤝
I’d like to arrange viewings ASAP as it will need to be communicated to the agency and they'll need to do their checks.
Jack will be out of the country 19th-26th October, but he is also happy to FaceTime with potential flatmates :)
