Hi! I'm looking for a lovely female housemate (roughly 30–50) to share this unit - the room is currently unfurnished.

Please read the full ad before responding and tell me a little about yourself, what you do and what you're looking for in a home - I won't be able to respond to messages without this.

The Unit
The warehouse is in Seven Sisters, between Seven Sisters and Tottenham Hale stations, so it's really well connected, with a park around the corner and lots happening locally - including plenty of new bars, restaurants, venues and creative spaces.

It's home to a lovely, diverse community of artists, makers and creatives. People know each other, pop round for cups of tea, and there are occasional dinners, parties and get-togethers. It's a pretty chilled warehouse, but definitely a sociable one, so I'd love someone who wants to get to know the community and join in from time to time.

I also regularly have friends over for dinner, movie nights or a lovely brew (Yorkshire, of course), and weekends can occasionally be a little later and noisier - so it's best suited to someone who enjoys that kind of friendly, communal environment.

The Space
The large downstairs area is genuinely a shared space for both of us to use and enjoy, but it's also a live/work space. 3-4 days a week, I work from my desk in the main downstairs area, so ideally I'm looking for someone who's either out at work during the week or is happy to co-work alongside me. You're absolutely welcome to use the downstairs space while I'm working, or the room also comes with its own studio/workspace upstairs overlooking the main warehouse, which you're welcome to use whenever you like.

In the evenings and at weekends, downstairs returns to being our social/living space - cooking, films, music, friends, dinners and generally hanging out. So if you need the communal area to be completely work-free during weekday daytime, this probably isn't the right setup for you.

I also have a lovely little dog called Dinker - our resident “Yorkshire Sausage” (half Dachshund, half Yorkshire Terrier!). He's super friendly and will probably become your best mate, so being a dog lover is a must. He's my responsibility, but I do go away from time to time, so it would be amazing to find someone who'd be happy to occasionally help with feeding/walking him or looking after him while I'm away.

About me
I'm 36 and work in sustainable/environmental planning, having previously worked in architecture, so I'm pretty into interiors and have put a lot of love into making the warehouse feel like a beautiful, comfortable home. Outside work I love cooking, gigs and festivals, seeing friends and yoga. I'm also currently renovating a boat, so occasionally there might be a project, parcel or a few tools passing through, although I generally keep everything tucked away and like the communal areas to stay tidy.

About you
I'm ideally looking for another woman around 30–50 who's friendly, independent, clean and tidy, and respectful of the home, furniture and shared spaces. Someone who has their own life but also genuinely wants to share a home - whether that's cooking together occasionally, having a glass of wine, watching a film or getting involved with the warehouse community.

I'd particularly love someone who wants to get to know the people here and become part of the community, rather than simply renting a room. You definitely don't need to be social all the time - I love my own downtime too! But someone friendly, communicative and comfortable with the slightly communal nature of warehouse living would be ideal.

Get in touch if that sounds like a good fit!
