I'm moving out of my lovely flat in Shepherd's Bush, shared with two wonderful housemates — Maksi, a film student, and Johanna, who works in the arts.
Maksi and Johanna are considering moving out in mid-August/September, but if the new tenant joins the contract, they can choose to stay on and find replacements or leave at that point.
The room is a good size, furnished with a queen bed. The bed comes with the room, though I'm sure the landlord would be open to swapping it for a larger one if needed — personally, I found it ideal for the space. Also the chest of drawers and clothes rail is mine but the room comes with a large wardrobe which I'll reassemble for the new tenant.
Rent: £810 month
Bills: approximately £130–£150 month
Deposit: £975 (one third of five weeks' rent for the whole property)
The flat is on the third floor, and the room faces away from the street, so it's wonderfully quiet and gets beautiful afternoon and evening sun. The rest of the flat faces east, so there's plenty of light throughout the day. A real bonus for sharers: the bathroom and shower room are separate.
The flat is a 4-minute walk from Shepherd's Bush Market station (Circle & District lines) and a 12-minute walk from Shepherd's Bush station (Central line), plus easy bus access into central London.
