Large Double Room with Bathroom & Garden

Hi! I’m Cam and I’m looking for a housemate to move into my large Victorian maisonette with garden in Wimbledon, as my housemate Chloe has moved on after 2 years here. It’s on a tree-lined quiet residential road, and the whole place was refurbished 3 years ago. The layout is great for privacy, with the kitchen being separate to the living room.

The room available is large with high ceilings and is fully furnished. There's a double bed (with room for storage underneath) and a comfy mattress. There’s a desk and office chair for WFH, 2x bedside tables and a wardrobe and chest of drawers. The room was painted 3 years ago, and the carpet is again only 3 years old. This room is on the 1st floor, along with the kitchen, shower room, living room and my office. You'll have the 1st floor shower room to yourself, as I have my own bathroom upstairs on the 2nd floor next to my bedroom.

The kitchen is new, has good storage along with a large fridge/freezer, induction hob, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. Most importantly, it has a Nespresso coffee machine with milk frother. There’s also a large table with a bench and 2 chairs.

A bit about me: I’m 37 and I’m an IT Consultant (at least until AI takes my job). I tend to work from home 2-3 days a week and in the office the rest. I’ve been living in London since Jan 2018 when I moved to a house share in Clapham, I then moved to Fulham before settling in Wimbledon in 2021. I’m a clean and tidy respectable guy, and I enjoy going to pubs and bars and eating out as well as having a glass of wine or an ice cold beer at home.

I’m into house music, and I enjoy the (very!) occasional ‘big night out’ (i. e 4 times a year) and going to music festivals (I’ve been to Albania for Anjunadeep twice, Malta last year and I’m going again this year) but I’m definitely over the partying lifestyle - these days I prefer to spend my time at the gym and meeting mates for coffee.

I’m looking for a housemate who is also clean and tidy and will look after the place as if it were their own. It would be nice if you were comfortable having the odd drink together whilst cooking/watching TV etc, but equally wouldn’t be offended if either of us wanted their own space.

All household bills included with the exception of a cleaner, which we can split if we want to get one.

- So many gyms! Wimbledon Leisure centre is a 50 second walk with gym, swimming pool and spa - and from 5-12 mins walk you've got Third Space (where I go), YMCA Gym, The Gym Group, Nuffield Health, Virgin Active and Fitness Space.
-The best coffee place is less than a minute walk (there's plenty around), and they do really nice brunch.
