Sadly I’m leaving London (and the UK), so I’m looking for a lovely girl to take over my contract for my double room in Stepney 💛

Rent: 875/month (bills not included). Bills are less than 100 pounds even in winter! (council tax band b)
Move in: you will take over my contract from the 15th of June to the 15th of September (with the possibility to extend/renew) - NO SUBLET
If you want to move in a bit earlier or later we can discuss :))

Location: Stepney Green.
It’s honestly a bit of a cheat code for East London living: really quiet, safe, and chill, but with amazing transport links.
Stepney Green (District + Hammersmith & City line) is about 5 mins away, Mile End (Central line) is also close, and Whitechapel is within walking distance for the Overground + Elizabeth line (super handy for commuting or airport/train travel)

You’ve got everything you need nearby: Tesco and Sainsbury’s close, Lidl about 15 mins away, and lots of great walking spots. The canal is 5 mins away, and you can easily get to Victoria Park or Bethnal Green in under 20 mins, which I loved for weekend walks or coffee runs.

The biggest bonus of the flat is definitely the living room. I work freelance in film, so I used to work from home there a lot, it’s a really nice, open shared space that feels very liveable, not just functional.

About the room: it has a built-in wardrobe which frees up a lot of space. The layout doesn’t really fit a full desk, but a small one could work. I personally preferred working in the living room anyway. It’s a ground-floor room but very quiet, with direct access, so no hallway/neighbour traffic.

About the flatmates: everyone is in their 20s with 9–5s (two in architecture, one in coffee). It’s a friendly, easygoing home. People are always up for a walk, a film night, or a coffee/drink, but it’s never intrusive or chaotic, which has been really nice.

I want to arrange viewings starting from the 22 May and have a decision by the 1st of June!
