Hello! We are looking for a new housemate to join our lovely 4-bed in Stockwell as I am
shorty moving out to live with my partner.
The rent for the room will be £780 plus bills. This is currently £930 in total but we would expect this to increase due to the changes to the energy price cap.
The room will be available from early August. We also have a wonderful fortnightly cleaner which is an extra £10.
The room:
The room is furnished, coming with a double bed, wardrobe, in built cupboard and chest of drawers.
It is situated on the second floor of the house with access to the shared bathroom (bathroom 1 on the pictures).
The room has a hardwood floor, a fireplace, and lets in lots of natural light.
The house:
Our spacious house has four bedrooms, two bathrooms (one with a bath), a living room, a dining room (which can be used as a home working area), a large kitchen with a dining area, and a nice private garden. The house lets in a lot of natural light, which is a real bonus in the winter.
We have all your typical amenities (washing machine, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, microwave, fridge/freezer, etc.), plus a downstairs sofa bed and a TV. There is plenty of storage space across the house, including a small cellar.
Another big plus is that our home is owned by a lovely and responsive private landlord, so it is in good condition and you won’t need to deal with a letting agent.
The housemates:
Harry is 30 and works in local government. He enjoys football (is a big Hearts fan, hailing from Edinburgh), golf and curries. Harry is also a keen chef and has been known to throw a brilliant dinner party.
Patricia is 29 and works in Estate Planning. She enjoys everything from a Saturday night gig to a peaceful stroll around the common and everything in between. She’s full of random fun facts, loves a good film, beer gardens and is a big fan of a picky bits dinner.
Jess is 29 and work in communications for a health charity. She loves netball, baking and reading. Originally from Aus she loves being outside in the sun, preferably with a cold cider in hand
We enjoy hanging out as a house but appreciate each others space too. We enjoy catching up over a pint or participating in many house takeaways and movie nights. We’re looking for someone who will want to join in and see the house as a home.
The location:
The house is located on a quiet street just off the main road. It’s ideally situated between Clapham, Brixton, and Battersea, meaning we have excellent takeaway options and a variety of parks (Clapham Common, Brockwell, Battersea, Kennington, and Vauxhall) all within a 30 minute walk. We have great transport links in the area; our house is under a 10 minute walk to both Stockwell and Clapham North tube stations, around a 10 minute walk to Clapham High Street overground, and a short distance to lots of bus routes. There are also many different supermarkets within easy walking distance, including Sainsbury’s, Iceland and Lidl.
