*Updated room pictures to follow on bank holiday Monday.*
We have an ensuite room becoming available from 1 June as one of our longtime flatmates is moving in with her partner. This room is situated at the front of our hallway and gets the morning-early afternoon sun.
Ideally we'll be having an individual preferably in their late twenties onwards joining us. We're all music, food and board game lovers and like hanging out together.
-----
We’re a friendly, easy-going, considerate bunch in our late-twenties/early-thirties mostly working in music, design, health, tech & finance. We are all fairly independent and have our own thing going on, but love going to gigs/festivals, watching films/footie and playing board games. You'll often find us cooking for each other or having meals together as there are a couple of foodies in the house.
All bills are included in the rent and everyone also chips in/help replenish any household products whenever something has run out. We have a weekly cleaner to help out with the communal bathrooms but we keep the rest clean and tidy ourselves.
Right now there's 15 of us (the max limit for Spareroom is 10) and everyone is lovely, some have lived here for close to 4 years, others 1 or 2! Ideally you’ll be a CLEAN (as in a clean-as-you-go sort of person), easy-going, animal loving, mature, sociable and respectful individual. This is not a party house, but once in a while we like to put on a good night for our friends. We also have a 3-year old Westie called Bruce and a black kitten called Reggie.
ROOMS
All rooms have high ceilings and huge windows. Each has a mezzanine level, which is big enough for a king-sized mattress and a bookshelf, bedside table, tv etc. you’ll have to get used to sliding in and out, which may seem weird at first but it’ll gradually become second nature. On the ground level you can easily fit a sofa, desk and shelves so it’s almost like your own little studio apartment. Ensuites come with a shower, sink and toilet. We have 2 communal bathrooms for the (five) non-ensuite people too share.
HOUSE
We’re the ground floor of an old fabric supplies warehouse, tucked away down a quiet street just two mins walk from Stoke Newington overground. Very close to beautiful Abney Park and Church Street (with its cafés, restaurants, independent food shops), and 10 mins bus or bike to Dalston.
Our unit was converted just a few years ago with amazing high ceilings, huge windows and central heating throughout. Lots of natural light, whitewashed walls and exposed brickwork.
We have a big open plan kitchen / diner and a 2nd kitchen with a dishwasher, three fridges, two washing machines and a tumble dryer. Everyone has their own cupboard and fridge space. We have a bike rack in the hall and an external lockable bike shed outside, a cosy living room with a projector and a pair of turntables, plus a cute patio with a beast of a BBQ grill.
If you’re keen to join us, please drop me a message with a little bit about yourself (age, work, interests, etc) and the vibe you’re looking for. If it sounds like a good fit we’ll find a time to show you the room. Thanks!
