Large double room in lovely Stoke Newington

A large south-facing double bedroom is available to rent from in a large period property in Stoke Newington.

You would be sharing with Margherita, Jessye and Moa – we didn’t know each other before moving here, but we’ve become great friends and enjoy spending time together but we also have our own circles outside. We are looking for a professional woman, enby or trans person (age 31- 38) who is sociable, tidy and looking for a home more than just a houseshare.

THE HOUSE

The house is very spacious and comfy - it has a light airy living room with a lot of plants, good size kitchen, and one bathroom. We also have a lovely garden, which is perfect for summer evenings and great if you have a green thumb!

The large double room that is now available is on the top floor, with two large south facing windows. The rent is £846.60 per month, and bills are approximately £120 on top (but can go up over winter). The deposit is £778.75. The room comes partially furnished, with a desk and two IKEA pax wardrobes.

We're on the Stokey / Dalston border, so we have Church Street and its cafes, restaurants and pubs a 10min walk one way, and Dalston's clubs and bars a 10 min walk the other way.

THE HOUSEMATES

Moa (she/they) 32 y/o. Work in a policy role in the civil service. From Sweden originally but grown up in the UK. I like hanging out with friends/family, cold water, hot sauna, good tv, bad tv, working out and being part of and creating queer community.

Jessye (she/her) 34 y/o, jewish, queer/lesbian, Aries, cat lady (sans cat)! From Brighton originally, but Stokey has been my home for 5+ years. Working (mostly from home) for a gender-based violence charity. I love gardening (especially growing flowers from seed), occasionally perform as a super silly drag king 👑 Think Ilana from Broad City meets Tina Belcher!

Margherita (she/her) 31 y/o Italian working in an art gallery, always ready to share free exhibition tickets and rather eclectic music recommendations. Love to climb rocks (and plastic holds), make things, and escape to the outdoors whenever possible.

We all enjoy hanging out in the living room and watching TV after long days at work and have gone on a few trips together!
