- Walk or bicycle across the Olympic Park to Hackney Wick where there are two great bars - Howling Hops Brewery and Beer Merchants Tap
- Two local six mile walks:
1) Hackney Marshes along the River Lea then down the canal towpath to Here East and back across the Olympic Park.
2) Sunday farmer’s market in Victoria Park via Hackney Wick
- Great dive pub on Stratford High Street
- If you're going to Liverpool Street Station get on TFL Rail at Maryland to avoid busy platforms at Stratford station.
