Spacious double in Streatham house with garden

One of our housemates has bought a flat, so we’re looking for a professional to fill their room in our happy house with garden in Streatham. We are Kirsten (Canadian, works in fashion), Laura (Italian, travel agent) and Eleonora (Italian, nanny/psychotherapist). Our home is a relaxed, peaceful place to be with a lovely houseplant-filled lounge, kitchen with loads of cupboards, upstairs bath/shower, downstairs toilet, and a big sunny garden with a huge shed for bicycles and storage. We’re not a party house but if you’re a friendly, respectful, clean and tidy person who likes cooking or gardening you’ll be in great company!

The room is on the ground floor and is a very good size, with a big bay window that looks into the front garden and gets morning sun. It comes with a wardrobe and drawer unit (not in photos) and an option to buy some of the other furniture. There is plenty of room for a desk if you work from home. The current housemates work hybrid schedules, so you would have company some days.

The street is very small and quiet with only six houses on one side and nobody opposite. It's one block off Streatham high street, with everything you could possibly need within walking distance. There’s a huge Tesco, Aldi, Lidl, Sainsburys, two M&S and countless small markets with 15 minutes of the house, tons of coffee shops, a cinema, restaurants, pubs, craft beer, gyms, bakeries, delis, charity shops etc. There are bus stops a 3-minute walk from the house that go to Brixton/the Victoria line every couple of minutes as well as buses to Clapham Junction/Wandsworth, Stockwell, Clapham Common and central London. Streatham and Streatham Hill rail stations are about 10 minutes away by foot, and the closest tube station is Balham on the Northern line which is about 25 minutes’ walk away. There’s also plentiful green spaces with Tooting Common, Streatham Common and Brockwell Park close by.

The room is £767 per month, bills including council tax and a cleaner run about £110-150/mth depending on season, and there’s a once-per-year garden waste cost of £20.
