Come and share our lovely 4 bedroom home... with me, a small person aged 9, and our housemate, Sam who is 26, who works in children's mental health.

We are looking for a child-friendly housemate. Someone who is a friendly, clean and tidy, considerate (female) housemate - we are also happy to consider a male house mate as well - (Having a DBS - Disclosure and Barring Service certificate - would be helpful).

The room is a great sized double room with lovely high ceilings which is airy and light, with stripped floors (the same as the rest of the house). It looks over the back garden, has a double bed, a chest of drawers, a cupboard and freestanding wrought iron shelving. There's space for storage underneath the bed as well.

There is access to all areas: kitchen (all mod cons, microwave, dishwasher & washing machine etc.); living room and a garden with its own microclimate! There's a lovely travertine stone bathroom with large shower.

We have had the luxury of a cleaner who usually comes every so often for 3 or 4 hours.

We generally budget around £95-£155 each a month for bills (£49 of that is council tax). We take great care of what we use to keep the bills as low as possible, so house isn't one of those roasting hot ones in the winter (we like it just fine and the ground floors are insulated).

I cover the cost of things like cleaning products, replacement mop heads etc., bin liners and dishwasher tabs etc. which add up to a lot each year, so we divide the utility and council tax bills in 3.

We have a good deal with Community Fibre (150 Mbps Fibre Broadband).

We live in ZONE 3, Streatham Vale, in a quiet and friendly area.

There is FREE PARKING on our road.

I am a charity fundraiser and also training to be a counsellor. I love meeting new people. I've travelled all over the world and have had lodgers since I was a post graduate and have remained great friends with so very many of them.

We still see many ex-housemates, which we love. We're hoping to find a new housemate who is as kind, friendly and considerate as they are. : )

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR...
This place will suit all sorts, including people who are new to London, as here, people really feel particularly welcome and at home. We’d like someone who will take care of the house as if it’s their own - so being clean, child friendly (key), considerate and tidy is important). Green minded people are particularly appreciated as we always do our best to take care of our planet which also, importantly, keeps the bills low. Here are some of our references!

'I’ve been staying with Venetia and Malinka for around 2 years. They immediately made me feel at home and I would happily have stayed on longer (the only reason I’m leaving is because I am now buying my own home).
I miss my nieces back home so I enjoy having a child around but wouldn’t recommend for those who don’t like being around kids. Venetia is always willing to help, and the room is lovely, spacious - it gets lots of natural light. It comes furnished with a very comfy double bed which is a plus.'
