Room: The room is a very large double with fitted wardrobes, double bed, sofa, chest of drawers and desk. The bathroom has both a bath and shower, and is newly fitted. Both are located on the top floor, away from family bedrooms.

The House: the house is very large, over 2,300sq ft with a south facing raised terrace and large lawned garden, a large living and a separate smaller "den" (so effectively, two living rooms), an eat in modern kitchen, as well as an expansive separate dining room.

The Location: We are 1 minute walk from Streatham Common, and its expansive woods and formal gardens (the Rookery) - great for nature lovers. Sainsburys is 3 minutes walk away, with Streatham High Road just a little further, host to endless shops, cafes, restaurants and bars.

Transport: We are a 10 minute walk from 3 mainline stations (including Streatham and Streatham Common) with direct and very regular links to the West End and City of around 20 - 30 minutes (including Victoria, Blackfriars, London Bridge, Kings Cross St Pancras).

We are a five minute walk from bus stops at the bottom of the Common, with very regular bus services (every 3 - 4 minutes) to Brixton tube (Victoria line) and Balham & Tooting tubes.

I am a full time professional and live with my 17 year old son in this large (5 - 6 bedroom), fully modernised period house a minutes walk from Streatham Common. We would like to find a lodger for a large double bedroom and separate bathroom on the top floor of our house - so if you are a young professional (20's or 30's) or postgraduate student that values your personal space, we would love to hear from you.
