Large, bright double room in Streatham Hill

We're looking for a new housemate to join our lovely house in Streatham Hill, South London. We're professionals in our early-to-mid 30s, from quite different work backgrounds in Ops and Marketing.

The house: a whole ground floor of communal space - two living rooms, open-plan kitchen/diner, a conservatory (our laundry room) and a decked garden. We love our home and look after it properly. The vibe is relaxed, respectful and no-drama, and we've become a bit of a small family over the years - so we're looking for someone with similar kind, easy energy. Ideally someone up for a glass of wine or a peppermint tea and a true crime documentary or reality tv every so often.

The room: a large double at the back of the house on the second floor, overlooking the garden, with a built-in sink and a beautiful fireplace. The room will be unfurnished, but some things can be negotiated to stay, if needed.

One four-legged housemate: there's also Yugi, a golden retriever - he belongs to one of the housemates and is entirely her responsibility, so no walks, feeding, vet trips or dog-sitting rota for you. You'd just need to genuinely like dogs, because you will be greeted enthusiastically at the door and supervised very closely whenever there's food involved! If you're allergic or not a dog person, this sadly won't be the house for you.

Location: quiet street, seconds from Streatham High Rd for shops, restaurants and pubs. There is a bus stop at the end of the road straight to Brixton and central, plus three mainline stations within walking distance. Five minutes from Tooting Bec Common and the Lido, with Streatham Common around 15-20 mins walk away.

Bills are ~£150 per month
Room is available from the beginning of October
