Hey! My flatmate is moving in with her boyfriend, so her double bedroom with a private ensuite bathroom will soon be available in our two-bedroom, two-bathroom flat in Surrey Quays.

The flat has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, meaning you'll have your own private bathroom, as well as a shared living room and kitchen. There's also a beautiful outlook towards Canary Wharf, with views of the area's tall buildings from the window. A really nice bonus!

Available from: 4 January 2027 (new tenancy start date).

Ideally, I'm looking to find someone by the end of November so that referencing and paperwork can be completed in early-mid December before the holidays.

Rent: £1,125 per month, excluding bills.

Bills: Approximately £205–£210 per person per month, this includes council tax (Band E), water, electricity, heating and Wi-Fi. Bills can vary slightly depending on seasonal fluctuations and/or usage.

Referencing and deposit

The tenancy is subject to the agency's referencing and affordability checks.

A bit about the flat and location

The flat is in a really convenient location in Surrey Quays, in a residential area with some lovely cafés nearby. It's also well connected, with plenty of shops and amenities close by.

Surrey Quays station is around a 10-minute walk away.

Canada Water station is around a 12-minute walk away.

There's a bus stop right outside the building, with buses getting you to both stations in just a few minutes.

There's a Tesco Express literally downstairs, with Tesco Extra and Lidl around a 10-minute walk away.

Residents also have free access to the gym downstairs.

A little about me

I'm a professional working in the TV industry, post-production to be more specific and I am mainly office based. I work on a shift pattern, so my days off vary from week to week. It means we naturally have a bit of flexibility and independent time to enjoy the flat, while still having opportunities to catch up when we're both around.

I basically get paid to watch TV, and typically get to see shows before everyone else, which is a nice bonus!

Outside work, I enjoy roller skating, watching Netflix and generally relaxing at home. I'm also interested in technology and cybersecurity, and enjoy keeping up with what's happening in that world. I like having a good balance between getting out and about, enjoying my interests and having a relaxing evening at home.

I'm clean, tidy and considerate, and I like having a home that's comfortable, peaceful and looked after.

Who I'm hoping to find

Ideally, I'm looking for a female professional who is clean, tidy, considerate and easy to live with. A fairly regular office-based working routine would suit the household well, as I'm mainly office-based myself. Someone with a similar hybrid working routine would be ideal.

I'm hoping to find someone who also values having a peaceful, relaxed home. I'm not looking for a party flat or a particularly socially busy household. I think it's important that home feels like a place where we can both unwind, enjoy our own space and feel comfortable.

That said, I'd love to live with someone who's friendly and sociable too. It would be lovely to have a chat in the kitchen, have a laugh, share the occasional bit of gossip and generally enjoy a friendly atmosphere at home.

I think it's nice when you feel comfortable around the person you live with and can naturally have a bit of a catch-up, while still having your own routines and space.
