I have a large double room available in my 2-bed (first floor) flat and am looking for a new housemate to join me. I’m easy-going and I’m looking for someone who wants to treat this place like a home rather than just a crash pad. I’m ideally looking for people who are clean, tidy, laid back, willing to treat the flat as their own home, sensible when it comes to shared responsibilities/areas and most importantly respectful of others living in the house. I’d love to find someone who is up for a pub trip or just relaxing on the sofa to watch some tv together.
The Room
The room is a really large double with plenty of space. It currently has a double bed (with space underneath for storage, bed side table and a chest of drawers, but I’m more than happy to add a desk or a wardrobe if you need them. The room is a really decent size, easily big enough for a desk too, though I’m ideally looking for someone who isn't working from home full-time.
You'll also have access to the recently renovated bathroom.
The flat as whole has been newly renovated with a kitchen (with dishwasher and washing machine), large living room, bathroom, one other double bedroom and lots of storage in the hallway.
Location & Convenience
We are in a brilliant spot for getting around and enjoying the area:
Tube: Only a 5-minute walk to Tooting Bec station (Northern line).
Rail: A 12-minute walk to Balham for mainline trains.
Surroundings: Tesco is at one end of the road, and Tooting Bec Common is at the other—best of both worlds!
The road is a quiet and beautiful residential street.
Local Life: You’ve got all the shops, restaurants, and pubs of Tooting and Balham right on your doorstep.
About Me
I work in the City as a project manager. My interests are pretty standard—sports, the gym, watching football, pubs, live music, and comedy.
The Logistics
Rent: £1100 per month.
Bills: These are charged separately and come to around £180 per month. This covers your council tax, water, gas, electricity, 500mbps fibre broadband, and a fortnightly cleaner.
I’m flexible on move-in date as the room is currently vacant, I just want to get the right person in!
A Few House Notes
To keep the place a relaxed and chilled homely environment, this flat is definitely not a party house, and since it’s a 2-bed, it isn’t suitable for couples (sorry!). It is a non-smoking and non-drug household.
