Bright Spacious LoftRoom – Tooting Broadway – £875

A bright and spacious furnished loft room available in a really lovely house share in Tooting Broadway, less than a 5-minute walk from Tooting Broadway tube station, as well as all the shops, pubs, restaurants and amenities along the high street.

The room is the loft room at the top of the house and has three large Velux-style roof windows, so it gets loads of natural light. The windows open fully as well, which is great in the summer for getting plenty of fresh air through the room and keeping it at a comfortable temperature.

The room comes fully furnished and has a built-in wardrobe and desk, so there’s plenty of storage and space to work from home if needed.

The rest of the house is also really nice, with a spacious living room, kitchen, spare room and garden. There are two shared bathrooms between three people, as one of the bedrooms has its own ensuite, so there’s never much competition for the bathroom. We also have a cleaner who comes every other week.

You’d be living with Calum, Jack and Tom, aged 30–33, who are all working professionals. Everyone in the house is genuinely good friends and it has a really easy, sociable atmosphere. We’re always up for drinks, dinner or doing something together at the weekend, but everyone is also independent and during the week tends to be pretty busy with work and their own plans. It’s a nice balance of actually knowing and getting on with your housemates while still having plenty of your own space.

Tooting is great for pubs, restaurants and bars, and everything is right on the doorstep. The Northern line is less than five minutes away, so it’s also really easy to get into central London.

I’m only leaving because I’ve found an opportunity to get a place of my own. I’ve really loved living here and I’ll definitely be staying close with everyone in the house, so I’m genuinely sad to be leaving!

We’d ideally like to find someone around a similar age who is friendly, clean and considerate and wants a house that feels sociable and comfortable rather than just somewhere you happen to sleep.
