This is a special opportunity to live aboard a 100 year old Dutch barge on the River Thames next to Tower Bridge. The space is comprised of a light and airy wheelhouse and the original “captains cabin" with a bed nook (that has been modernised).

The accommodation is self contained, with its own entrance into the wheelhouse with seating and a table, then down the ships steps into another living area, with a built in sofa, small kitchen, shower and toilet. The double bed is in a snug raised cubby in the same space, but the doors to the cubby can also be closed. There is central heating in both the wheelhouse and the main living area, and it is incredibly cosy.

The wheelhouse has stunning 360 views of the mooring, River Thames and Tower Bridge. And you have shared access to a small outside deck with amazing views of Tower Bridge.

The space is completely separate to the main occupants and has a private entrance. Single occupancy preferable. You need to have an easygoing approach and sense of humour as boat dwelling is not for everyone (although great fun!). If you want a bit of a London adventure in the most amazing community - this is for you.

I am a professional woman I live in the hold section of the boat, and I’m on hand most of the time - but the spaces are separate and each have their own kitchen/bathroom/entrance. Strictly no smokers.

The moorings is a gated community with award winning gardens. It is a quiet oasis in a bustling city. With very close transport links to Bank, Tower Bridge, Canary Wharf and London Bridge - the location is excellent. There are lots of bars, cafes and restaurants in the area. Closest tube is London Bridge, Bermondsey and Tower Bridge (all about 10-15 walk). Very close to 188, 381, 47, C10 (5 minute walk).

The mooring is a delightful community and there is a book club, craft club, play readings, and opportunities for socialising. It is also quiet and private - so the best of both worlds!
