Double room in friendly family home. We have two girls aged 14 and 16 years old and 2 dogs - I'm a teacher and my husband is in I. T. He works from home - the rest of us are out all day. The house has a typical family atmosphere - occasionally noisy if the kids have lots of friends over or family are visiting, but usually it's pretty quiet. Very rarely noisy late at night. We are pretty easy going overall.

It is quite a big (3-storey) house, so there is plenty of space and we have a gorgeous garden which is just fantastic in summer.

Once a week a cleaner comes to keep things under control. We have all mod cons as you would imagine. Washing machine/tumble dryer/dishwasher/microwave/wifi/ Netflix etc etc. Oh and a trampoline, table tennis table and full-size electric piano - essential items!

We are 5 minutes walk from Tulse Hill train station which goes to the South Bank in 11 minutes and the city in 15 minutes.
Brixton with its tube and nightlife is 10 minutes by bus or 20 minute walk. We are walking distance from a number of lovely parks including Brockwell Park, Belair Park and Dulwich Park. There are a number of sports centres and swimming pools both indoor and outdoor within a short distance as well as a 24-hour gym and a yoga studio both about 5 minutes walk away and a variety of restaurants/pubs etc within walking distance. There is a Picturehouse Cinema 10 minutes away. Tulse Hill itself has the brilliant Railway Pub - probably the best pub in South London. Definitely the best pub garden! Lots of live music etc.

The room we are renting is at the back of the house on a separate first floor landing and slightly separated from the rest of the rooms - so pretty peaceful. It overlooks our lovely garden. It is fully furnished with bed, bedside cabinet and light, wardrobe, chest of drawers, desk and lots of shelving. It is next to our upstairs bathroom. We are very respectful of our housemate's privacy.

Natsumi our current lovely housemate is moving out after nearly 2 years. We've had lodgers now for over 20 years and they've all stayed from 18 months up to 5 years. Our housemates have come from all over the world and have always enjoyed living with them.

We also have a yellow labrador called Jasper who is 6 years old. He mostly sleeps but will demand cuddles and steal food given half the chance. Scarlet is older and smaller but her actual age and breed is unknown. She is also pretty chill. Both will bark if someone comes to the door and Jasper will be a little overenthusiastic the first time he meets someone, but otherwise neither bark very much. Unless they think there's a fox in the back garden.

You will be very safe from foxes here! :D
