Looking for a new flat mate

I’m Tadi, I enjoy running and going to the theatre, cinema, galleries, and museums.

I’ll be quite upfront so you can decide if this feels like the right fit. The flat is generally calm, quiet, and quite structured. We all really value a respectful and considerate environment.

In terms of guests, we’re quite mindful as a household. We don’t tend to have partners staying over regularly, especially as we only have one bathroom and shared spaces are limited. Occasional guests are absolutely fine, but we usually give each other a heads-up so everyone feels comfortable.

We’re all Christian, and that shapes how we live day to day and the kind of environment we’re comfortable with in the flat. It’s important to us that the home reflects those values.

Cleanliness is a big one, we keep shared spaces consistently clean and tidy and expect everyone to contribute. Ideally, we’d share a cleaning rota so it doesn’t fall on one person to do all the less enjoyable jobs. We’re also quite direct with each other if something isn’t being maintained.

The flat itself is a bit older, so things do occasionally break, there are some cracks, and we’ve had mice in the attic in the past. The key thing for us is being proactive. If you notice or break something, you flag it with the flat manager straight away so it can be sorted quickly.

On bills, we split responsibilities between us. One person handles council tax, I cover water and electricity, and another flatmate usually sorts shared essentials like toilet paper, descaler, and milk. We track everything on Split and settle up at the end of each month. Ideally, you would take over the council tax side of things.
