Lovely double room for rent in a cosy converted ground floor 1800's warehouse in Walthamstow Village. The building has even featured on ‘Location, Location, Location’!
My current housemate is moving out as he has purchased his own place so I'm looking for a new person to share with from the 19th July.
Only 5 mins walk from Walthamstow Central for the Overground to Liverpool Street (Journey times - Clapton/Hackney Downs <10 mins, Bethnal Green/Liverpool Street <20 mins) and Victoria Line (Journey Times - Kings Cross ~10 mins / Oxford Circus ~20 mins / Brixton ~30 mins) and the bus station. Around 15 mins walk to the Barking – Gospel Oak line on the overground.
Plus we have the night tube now, this flat will save you a fortune in Ubers!
Less than 2 mins walk to Walthamstow Village shops, pubs, restaurants and museum. 5 mins walk to the market, shopping centre, Asda, Empire Cinema. Under 10 mins to God's Own Junkyard, Wildcard Brewery and Mother’s Ruin Gin Palace. Then if that is not enough, about 15 mins to Lloyd Park and the William Morris Gallery, or 30 mins walk to Hollow Ponds boating lake and the edge of Epping Forest!
The double room comes with a double bed, chest of drawers, wardrobe and lamp. There is space for storage under the bed and on top of the wardrobe. The carpets and double glazing have been replaced less than two years.
The bathroom is as you'd expect, with a bath/shower (great water pressure!) and space for toiletries.
The communal area is a large open plan lounge/kitchen/dining room. (I've managed to cook and seat 17 for a roast dinner in here!). Fully furnished by the landlord except for kitchen crockery/utensils, which I have provided. We have a washing machine but no tumble dryer.
There is a bike storage unit attached to the building, with two lockable gates for access so very secure.
I have lived here four years now and love this flat! I'm in my early thirties and work in TV production. My interests include all the usual, I enjoy getting out and about and exploring London, even after 14 years here. You'll occasionally find me crafting or baking on a Sunday afternoon!
I'm looking for a clean and tidy housemate that is of a similar age. Ideally someone who is looking to stay for a while. I'm happy to live with either a male or female, but not a couple.
The bills including utilities, council tax and broadband come to around £125 per month currently. +£20 a month for a fortnightly cleaner for the communal areas. Rent is £675 pcm. The landlord will require you to sign a contract and give a 6 weeks deposit and first month rent upfront.
I can do viewings on week nights from 1930 (I can’t get home from the office earlier I’m afraid).
