Lovely double room available Monday to Friday ONLY - in a friendly, well-kept home in Wanstead, East London. The house is a one-minute walk from Snaresbrook Central line station — you're on the platform before you've finished your coffee.

The room is yours and yours alone — it isn't let to anyone else at weekends, so you can leave your things, and it'll be exactly as you left it when you come back on Monday. Ideal for someone working in London during the week and heading home on Friday.

The commute
One minute to Snaresbrook station on the Central line, with Liverpool Street around 20 minutes away and the City, Bank and West End all straightforward from there. Free on-street parking on a nearby road if you'd rather drive in — no permit, no charge.

The area
Wanstead is genuinely one of the nicer corners of East London — a village feel with a proper high street, and it's a pleasant stroll from the door. The High Street is full of independent shops, cafés and places to eat: Provender Bistro (a Michelin Bib Gourmand), The Barrel Boulangerie for the bread, Fika for coffee, Bobo & Wild for brunch, and Robins for traditional pie and mash. There's a farmers' market on the first Sunday of the month, a Local Makers Market, and a good spread of pubs — The Bull has a big garden out on the High Street, and The Cuckfield is nearby too. For green space you're spoilt: Epping Forest and Hollow Ponds are practically on the doorstep, with Wanstead Park and Wanstead Flats close by — excellent for a run, a walk or a lazy Sunday.

About me
I'm easy-going, tidy and respectful of other people's space. I work from the office three days a week, enjoy cooking (happy to share if you fancy it), and my weeknights are pretty relaxed — nothing rowdy, no parties. I'm after someone similar: clean, considerate, and mindful of the neighbours. Common courtesy and a clean kitchen go a long way.

House rules

• Monday to Friday let only, but the room stays reserved for you
• The bathroom is shared — please leave it as you'd like to find it
• No smoking indoors. Vaping is absolutely fine — I vape myself
• Single occupancy only, no couples
• Please keep shared spaces tidy
