• Wapping is one of London’s best-kept secrets, a delightfully characterful and quiet (almost zone 1) enclave by the Thames. Check out the Thames beach and enjoy the cleaner air, with the nearest main road half a mile away. The area has a village-style array of shops and a rich history. Local amenities include a café, butchers, supermarket, dry cleaners, and more, all within 200m. The Turks Head (now an upmarket French bistro) used to serve the final quart of ale to condemned pirates on their way to the execution dock, where Wapping underground currently resides. There is also a fantastic array of upmarket and mid-market bars and eateries. The flat is very close to the city and Canary Wharf (2 miles), Tower Bridge, and Saint Katherine’s Docks, which are a short (7 min) walk away.
