Looking for a flatmate to come join me in West Dulwich/Norwood for Dec 1 (earlier may be possible). Rent is currently £962 and split bills and council tax come out to 150-200ish a month depending on the season, so a budget around £1150 is probably a safe bet. Landlords raised the rent only £30 a month last year so hopefully March this year will be the same. They’ve always been very kind and reasonable as long as I’ve been here, and the downstairs neighbours are also super chill.

I’m a Canadian living in London and working in the West End in costume/wardrobe. I’ve been living in the flat for 2 years with my partner, but we’ve made the choice to separate and he’s moving out. The flat really works for me, as there’s technically a small office room I use as a sewing studio, so I’m looking for another creative flatmate who may enjoy the perks of designated creative space at home. The lounge is also MASSIVE so I’d be more than happy for someone to take over a portion to create a nice WFH setup (or whatever else!) outside their bedroom so a split felt fair. I’m definitely keen to rehousewarm the space and welcome lots of new art, furniture, plants etc to make the place feel fresh! There’s also loads of loft storage, so feel free to come with whatever you’ve got.

He currently has the room set up as a music studio, so the photo I’ve pulled is from the letting agency where they had it set up as a dining room. He’ll be repairing and cleaning the room before leaving so it’s nice and fresh! It’s right at the back of the flat, with big windows that look over the garden. I’ve included some photos of the lounge and the studio to get a sense of the space- it’s a really generous flat for the price!

I’m 38, but generally quite lively still! I definitely enjoy trips to the pub, theatre (obviously!), music gigs, anything artsy, and I’m a pretty good cook, so I’d love a flatmate who is happy to share meals. Ideally I’d like someone over the age of 30, as the rhythms usually fit a bit better, but open to the right fit with anyone sound! Would be happy to meet for a coffee/pint nearby to see if it’s a good fit and then have you come by to see the room!
