There have been many thousands of pounds worth of improvements made to the house since these photographs were taken (e. g. decking, walls, etc, all replaced/re-painted, garden gates added and fixed, path repaired, etc), so please view the photos here to get an impression only and we will replace the photos at some point (though we have been advised that the house will be taken very quickly so we may not get around to this)!

Excellent location -based in West Dulwich.

West Dulwich station is one of 5 local train stations and is 3 minutes away -trains go from West Dulwich to zone 1/Central London in 12 mins. (To Victoria station or Blackfriars, as well as other stations). Buses, tubes and local areas detailed below.

UNDERGROUND:
The nearest underground / tube is Brixton (this is the blue, Victoria line) which is a 10 minute drive or 15-20 minute bus ride. (From Brixton, you only need one bus to get to the house -this goes from directly outside Brixton tube to a stop 30 seconds walk from the house -the whole journey takes 15-20 mins. Alternatively you can drive or cycle to Brixton in 10 minutes).

You can get to some places in zone one/Central London faster from this West Dulwich flat compared to starting a journey in zone one/Central London. However, compared to the house you'd get in zone one for the same rent, you'll get far more space here, a beautiful house, much cleaner air/healthier lungs, uninterrupted sleep (quiet location) and a 33 ft, private garden & balcony as well as all the local attractions!

NEAREST TRAIN STATIONS = zones 2 and 3. The five local train stations are within easy walking distance -these are on different lines so it is easy to get anywhere, e. g. 3 stops to London Bridge from Tulse Hill, a few stops to Clapham Junction -from which you can get to most places, etc. Details below.

2. West Norwood (9 min walk, 4 min cycle)
3. Sydenham Hill (17 min walk, 8 min cycle)
4. Tulse Hill (15 min walk, 7 min cycle)
5. Gypsy Hill (9 min walk, 4 min cycle)

All are a 9-17 minute walk or a 4-8 minute cycle, scooter or drive.
The nearest tube is Brixton (end of the Victoria/blue line).
The nearest overground is Crystal Palace. Crystal Palace tube/underground is 10 minutes away on the local bus (or you cycle or drive).

Contact me if you'd like the postcode -starts SE21 -you can then use Citymapper app, or Google Maps, to see your route options.

BUSES:
Plenty of buses - the bus from Brixton to the house is a ten second walk from Brixton tube and a 30 second walk to the house. The bus is not on the same road as the house and there is next to no traffic or air pollution on the road the house is on. The bus takes 15-20 mins to Brixton in the day, 15 at night. The bus goes every 12 minutes or so in the day and goes all night.

There are also various other buses (day and night buses) within a few minutes walk of the house. The area is also very well serviced by buses (and public transport generally).

DRIVING / PARKING:
Free resident parking, lots of parking spaces and it is always easy to find one.

ZIPCAR is also now in Lambeth -this is Zipcar's drive and drop service 'Flex' which allows members to spontaneously jump into a car and drive to their destination -members can end their trip by dropping the car off in any of the thousands of approved parking bays in the capital (tend to be only a minute or two’s walk away from all London destinations).

UBER

CYCLING- if you don't have your own bike then there's a local service to rent bikes by the month (and 3 two-hour 121 cycling lessons provided by TFL for free). The area is also safe for cycling, even for unconfident cyclists, (with room to store bikes in the secure garden or in bike hangers on the street).

BALCONY:

The kitchen leads onto a balcony (large bi-folding doors open up onto it) with a table and chairs for sunset drinks -from here you have a beautiful view of several gardens and a close up view of various birds. The area is very peaceful and no-one overlooks the balcony, as they do in so many places in London.
From the balcony, you can descend the stairs to the private garden.

GARDEN:

Large Garden: A fully grown, very private, beautiful garden. This has had a lot of improvements made since the photos on this ad were taken. A variety of trees & wildlife.

When in season, there is cherry blossom and jasmine everywhere (& more cherry blossom in the neighbour's garden which our balcony overlooks). Apple and pear trees. Multiple squirrels and a wide variety of birds to watch.

No neighbours looking in from every angle as is the case with most London gardens. (Very private: end of terrace house so no-one on one side, greenery keeping the garden private on the other three sides so you can sunbathe, or relax, in private)!

If you like nature, greenery, British wildlife, (squirrels, birds, occasional foxes), gardening & clean, fresh air then this is the place to be!

2 wooden tables & chairs, parasol, BBQs, zero gravity rocking sun lounger & second sun lounger (with gap to read a book through if sunbathing on your front)!
