Looking for a light North London sanctuary from which to explore the city? Search no more...
I'm Flora - my flatmate is sadly moving overseas and I'm looking for someone who likes a welcoming, calm home environment, is open to sharing some meals and is generally friendly and respectful.
The flat
Only one road up from the bustle of West End Lane, peaceful Honeybourne Road is one of the best streets in London with its red brick Victorian mansion flats. The flat is on the top floor, so features views across rooftops to the west, up towards Hampstead village in the east and you can see the City from the kitchen sink (and the London eye from the study if you lean out the window slightly).
It comprises two bedrooms, a separate lounge and a study. Each room has its own (non-functional, but pretty) fireplace.
Your room will be the larger of the two rooms, with plenty of space and storage.
The lounge has a large window-seat for reading a book while soaking up the afternoon sun. The bathroom is shared, with a bath/shower and toilet.
The study is a shared workspace off the kitchen.
There is a communal garden on the ground floor which contains a bike shed (£35 per year to store your bike).
Hampstead Heath is only 20-30 minutes' walk (or a 10-15 minute run) from the flat.
The house is brilliantly well connected - West Hampstead tube (Jubilee Line) and Overground are a 10 minute walk away and the Thameslink is a 7 minute walk. The Metropolitan line is one stop away at Finchley Road (or a 20 minute walk). Hampstead Heath tube (Northern Line) is a 20 minute walk.
Bills
Monthly expenses (council tax - Band D, water, electricity and wifi) come to c. £220pm. Cleaning is usually £60 pp per month (we have a cleaner who comes every two weeks).
To note: There is a £60 contract fee to be paid to Foxtons, the agent.
The bills include the current provider's best estimate of next year's energy bills, but the actual amount might vary, and there is a chance that landlords may ask for a marginal rent increase.
About me
I'm 30 years old and work in the public sector (in the office 1 - 3 days per week, WFH 1-3 days). I'm originally from the NW ad have lived in London for several years now. I enjoy pilates, travelling, walks on the Heath and go to a monthly book club. I enjoy cooking - and dining out, and would be game to share a few meals together. I'm friendly, welcoming and respectful - if this also sounds like you, I'd love to hear from you!
