Double room in bright East London flat

Hi! I’m looking for a new flatmate to move into this 2-bedroom flat as my current flatmate is moving out. The room is available from 1st June. I have lived here for almost 3 years and love it!

1-min walk to Whitechapel Station
1-min walk to big Sainsburys

THE FLAT🏡
The flat is on the 2nd floor within a gated community in Whitechapel. There is a spacious living room and kitchen that gets lots of natural light. The living area has a juliet balcony that has amazing views of the London skyline! There is a large shared, quiet garden within the complex with a pond and two bbq areas. There is also a secure parcel room for deliveries, a concierge, and a bike shed. It may be possible to arrange private parking if you have a car. It is a busy area so it always feels safe walking around. The flat is really warm and we only had to use heat a handful of times last year!

THE ROOM🛌
The room is furnished with a bed (with new mattress), massive wardrobe, chest of drawers, and bedside table. There is also a storage drawer under the bed and shared storage in the hall. Bills are~£55/month not including council tax (I believe council tax is ~£90 if you aren’t exempt).

ABOUT ME/YOU
I’m 29 and just finishing up a neuroscience PhD but continuing in a similar research role. I mostly work full time in person, with occasional work from home days. I tend to work long hours and so, I like to have a nice chill space to come home to and relax in. I enjoy creative things, hiking/nature, exploring markets at the weekend, and a good pub night! Looking for a flatmate who’s easygoing, clean and considerate, up for making the flat feel homely, and sociable but enjoys their downtime too. Someone who works from the office would be preferable but not a must!
