Double Room + En Suite Toilet in Wimbledon

The Road

House of international young professionals looking for a fourth comrade in the struggle against rental prices in Wimbledon. 😃

The property is spread over three floors, with a private driveway, and within a private gated road away from traffic (sort of L-shaped with some bushes etc. round the edges - very quaint).

The contract would be until July 29th, with the opportunity to renew again for another year.

We have a garden, shared living room, and an assorted combination of 3 toilets and 3 showers. We also have an auxiliary man-sized fridge, in addition to the built-in fridge + freezer pictured, so plenty of storage space for food.

The flat is furnished, as is the room on offer, and is in relatively good condition (for London). It's pretty clearly a family home that one child inherited without having to sell, and rented out without any additional work to it (inheritocracy is real).

The room has a private en-suite shower(pictured), and a large (double) built-in wardrobe. It is the largest room in the house and has ample space for additional storage e. g., free standing-wardrobe, drawers etc. - our current housemate, Lesi, has set up an entire mini-living room with TV, coffee table, and sofa!

Current house mates are: a couple - Alex [m] & Hazel [f], and our friend Holly [f]. The room previously belonged to another friend, Lesi, who is abandoning us to buy her own flat (we are sad + jealous).

It's a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Holly works in-office, Hazel works from home, and Alex is hybrid.

The location is pretty ideal. It is 8 minutes from the front door to the Northern Line platform at South Wimbledon, and 14 minutes to the District Line platform at Wimbledon (Alex timed these).

Wimbledon has pretty much every major chain store, plus 3 big supermarkets, and a smattering of local-sized ones. Two coffee shops on the road to South Wimbledon that are both excellent. Also lots of green space, and a quiet, relatively bougie vibe.

Monthly bills are currently:
£55 each for council tax
£50 each for energy (electricity + gas)
£9 each for broadband (this is super fast btw)
£20 each for water
Total = £134 per month.
