Large Double Room In Wimbledon from October

I am currently looking for a new flatmate to move into a 2 bedroom flat sharing with myself. The room is a large room and is available now. The flat is kitted out with Virgin Media and high speed WiFi. There is also a 50” TV in the living room with sound bar so ideal for a night in watching movies.

The room is £900 per month including all bills.

Deposit: £778.84 approx.

I’m looking for a friendly outgoing flatmate who is clean and tidy and is looking to come into the flat share and treat the place more as a home than as a room to rent. Smoking is not permitted inside the flat but if anyone smokes they will have smoke in the terrace area outside. Sorry but unable to accept universal credit.

The flat is situated in Wimbledon. The room has a double bed and 3 door wardrobe. It’s bright with big windows. The flat used to be a pub previously. There are 3 flats within the building and I socialise with the neighbours a lot having drinks, going for nights out, going pub (doing the pub quiz) and watching the football. We also have a building WhatsApp group.
AMENITIES: Sainsbury’s Local opposite the flat, The Garden Shed pub a great little pub 30 seconds from the flat. Less than 7 minutes on bus to Wimbledon Town Centre or a 10/15 minute walk. St George’s Hospital is a 10 minute walk. There are shops across the road and there is off street parking which you will need to purchase a permit from the council. The Tandem centre is not far from the flat either.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT: 200 bus goes past the flat, other local buses 57, 131, 152 and 219 and N155 are nearby at the bottom of Haydons Road which is a 5 minute walk away.

Northern line. The flat is less than a 10 minute walk from South Wimbledon Station and about a 10 minute walk from Colliers Wood. This line runs 24 hours at weekends.

Haydons Road Station is less than a 7 minute walk. There are trains to The City, Sutton, Luton and Bedford.

Wimbledon Mainline is less than 7 minutes on bus or roughly a 10/15 minute walk, here you can get the District Line to West, Central and East London and Essex. There is also trains to London Waterloo and to Surrey and Trams to Croydon, Elmers End and Beckenham.

ABOUT ME: I am a 36 year old who works for the government in the MoJ. I work a lot of hours and do shift work. I tend to go for drinks at The Garden Shed pub from time to time or into Wimbledon for some drinks so it would be cool to have someone who would be up for joining me there.

I like to cook and enjoy going into Wimbledon for dinner. I also love watching Ice Hockey usually go watch Streatham Redhawks when I can and when I’m in Glasgow I’ll watch the Glasgow Clans, I also love watching Tennis. I’m yet to get tickets to Wimbledon but I’ve been to the Aussie Open 3 times.


ABOUT YOU: Ideally I’d like someone who is clean and tidy, a non smoker is preferred but if someone smokes they need to smoke outside the flat in the patio area.
