Small Double in Eco/Diy House

Looking for lodgers/housemates who value community, communication and connection and who want to actively work together to create a home that's a safe haven from all the bullshit we have to deal with in our daily outside lives.

Both rooms available from JANUARY 2026

Room 2 is a small, cosy room with a double bed with space for storage boxes/suitcases underneath, a small wardrobe, a book shelf, pink walls, a side board, a large mirror, a four block shelving unit and a 3 block shelving unit and a textured ceiling. There’s a cat bed in the window and a blackout liner in the curtain. There’s also a litter box, a scratching block and toys for the cats.

Room 1 is a spacious double that overlooks the garden, it has a double bed and two built in wardrobes, an office armchair (and space for a desk), a dresser and a shelving unit at the foot of the bed. There's blackout liners in the curtains, a scratching post and toys for the cats and a litter box.

Looking for someone who has experience being a lodger and understands the delicate line between being an active and engaged housemate and working together to create a harmonious home whilst living in someone else's home with all their personal/family belongings everywhere. I try very hard to create space for my lodgers within my home so that we all have as equal an amount of space and as equitable a voice as possible in the house. I run house meetings every week (currently Tuesday's at 7pm) and I like having lodgers who are as warm and welcoming as I am and who are as interested in creating a warm and cosy atmosphere - sharing cups of tea, eating together whenever schedules line up, having daily check-ins about household tasks/running and how the cats are so all is running smoothly is hugely important to me. I'm looking for people who say hello when they come home, offer me a tea when they put the kettle on, who spend time engaging in the household, who prioritise self care and know how to look after themselves for their individual body's needs, who like spending time with themselves as well as with others

There are three beautiful cats who live in the house (I bought the house for my older two cats so they'd have somewhere more settled and spacious) so it's really really really important to me that my housemates/lodgers are full on besotted with cats and also have experience with caring for small beings and who are interested in spending time getting to know them and making friends with them and actively playing with them.
