Small Double in Eco/Diy House

Happy to take lodgers who are on placement or who want somewhere comfy and stable while they’re looking for somewhere else. If you’re new to Merseyside or heading to Liverpool for university and aren’t sure about where you want to go/what works best for you accommodation/travel wise then feel free to start here 🤗 I never tie anyone into lengthy contracts, I just run them on a rolling monthly basis so people have flexibility on staying/going

I’ve had lodgers on and off since 2012 and have also had quite a few bnb type guests since 2015, as far as I’m concerned if you’re happy here and are enjoying staying in my home and are paying your rent every month then I’m happy for you to stay as long as you need.

The room: overlooks the garden, has a double bed and two built in wardrobes, an office armchair (and space for a desk), a dresser and a shelving unit at the foot of the bed and blackout liners in the curtains.

Looking for people who have experience being a lodger/living at home with parents (ie people who are respectful of my home and understand that they’re living in someone else’s home rather than sharing space equally with a fellow tenant). I own my home outright, you’re not helping me pay off a mortgage, I don’t need a tenant, I have space to share and enjoy having good company around and people who like cats. My ideal lodgers have always been self contained, sociable and competent. Some people who came expecting to stay for a month or two while looking for a place of their own have ended up staying for a year or two! 🥰

I’ve also had lots of short term lodgers on placements/doing residencies or taking short courses as part of their studies so am used to making people welcome and comfortable for a month or three while they complete those modules.

I’m an environmentalist and am doing a lot of the renovations and all of the decorating myself 👷🏻‍♀️
I work as a supply teaching assistant 👩🏻‍🏫 and volunteer with a number of gardening projects in the local area 🧑‍🌾

Council tax is band B - included in the rent
