Beautiful double room in Bruntsfield flat

Hi! We are PhD students looking for a 4th flatmate to join our cosy but vibrant home in a Bruntsfield tenement. It’s in a quiet, welcoming area just 5 minutes from the Meadows and a lovely high street with easy access to the city and universities (walking or bus). Being on the second floor, we have beautiful views from bay windows that face a church.

The spare room includes:
- A double bed on a mezzanine but with plenty of space
- A desk, wardrobe, arm chair and lots of shelves

The rest of the flat has:
- An open-plan kitchen and living room, with a large dining table (perfect for hosting or crafting)
- A dishwasher, washing machine, gas hobs, oven, grill, microwave, fridge and freezer
- Two bathrooms (2 showers, 1 bath)
- Cupboard space
- Central heating and double glazing (for those chilly Edinburgh nights)
- On-street parking with a permit
- Access to a shared garden
- Lots of plants!

The flat is managed by a friendly agency and landlord, so safety checks are regularly carried out and it is kept well maintained.

A bit about us… We study ecology and neuroscience, and in our spare time we love getting out and about to explore Scotland (or further), go dancing at gigs and visit art galleries. We quite often have friends over for dinner or craft nights, but also enjoy quiet evenings in watching a film or reading.

We are looking for someone who would enjoy socialising with us, and who is a fellow PhD student (for council tax reasons) ideally planning to stay long term.
