Bright, spacious double room available in a calm family home in the Corstorphine area of Edinburgh, particularly well suited to a visiting academic, postdoc, researcher, or professional looking for a peaceful place to stay during their time in the city. Female preferred please.

I live here with my two daughters (aged 10 and 12) part-time, and we also have a friendly small dog and cat, so the home is warm and welcoming while remaining quiet and respectful of work and study schedules.

The room comes fully furnished with a high-quality mattress, desk and chair, blackout curtains, TV, fast Wi-Fi, and good storage space, making it ideal for working or studying from home.

You will also have your own private bathroom with toilet and sink, providing additional comfort and privacy.

There is access to a small kitchenette area with a fridge for your personal use, microwave, kettle, toaster and storage for food, suitable for simple meals and snacks. Laundry facilities are also available.

The main family kitchen and living room are not shared spaces, helping to maintain a calm and private household environment.

Occasional daytime or early evening visitors are welcome by prior arrangement, but overnight guests are not permitted.
