Sociable, wellness-oriented Leith home

If you’re looking for a friendly, sociable home where people actually get to know each other, share meals and enjoy good conversation, this could be a great fit.

The flat is on the sixth floor in Leith, with a balcony and wide views across Edinburgh. The available room is around 13 m², with a king-size bed and mattress, ample storage, and a desk.

The atmosphere at home is warm, relaxed and conversational. We usually share one or two meals most days, sometimes cooking together and sometimes eating our own food at the same time. I’m looking for the kind of home where there’s genuine curiosity and mutual interest, where both people take an interest in each other’s lives, respect each other’s ideas, and deal with the occasional irritation easily and considerately.

I’m 50, sociable and curious. My interests include dancing, languages, meditation, technology, health, philosophy, psychology, nutrition, wellbeing, entrepreneurship, personal development, good conversation and artificial intelligence.

I taught English in Spain for many years and now work on a pronunciation-related business. If English isn't your first language, I’d be happy to help you speak more naturally, improve your pronunciation and understand the little details of English that are difficult to learn from classes or textbooks. You’d be welcome to ask questions, and I can offer gentle correction when it’s useful.

I have ADHD, so I value direct communication, a relaxed atmosphere and a home where we can be straightforward with each other. I am recovering from a long-term health condition, so the pace at home naturally varies between lively and relaxed.

I think this would suit someone sociable, curious and open-minded who genuinely likes the idea of sharing a home rather than simply renting a bedroom. You don’t need to share all my interests — it matters much more that we’re interested in each other, enjoy talking and are comfortable spending some time together.
