Double room with private bathroom

About the room/house:
Double room available in a chilled home in a quiet residential area. The house is fairly new (~10 years) and has just had a new kitchen fitted. Private bathroom, shared kitchen and living room, front and rear garden and access to a large piece of shared ground out back. The living-room has a large aquarium (yes - live plants and fish) that is easily more relaxing to watch than anything on TV… Great neighbours in the street and a good little community nearby… when I’m not home, there’s fierce competition about who gets to fish-sit between the 4 & 7 year old girls (and their Mum) across the road, and my friends in the street over!

About the Area: Loads of parking on the street, bus routes for the 2, 18, 21, 30, and 48 are 2 minutes from the doorstep, the 14 is 5 minutes away near a Lidl and a Tesco. Fort Kinnaird is 15 minutes away on foot, and there’s access to the Innocent cycle path in 2 minutes by bike. The Royal Infirmary, QMU and Kings Buildings are easily accessible. Loads of green space only 5 minutes away through Hunters Hall Park, Craigmillar Castle and slightly farther away is Holyrood Park/Arthurs Seat, and of course there’s the Sheep’s Heid Inn.

About me: 42 year old technology and risk professional who’s worked in cyber security and financial services for the last 20 years. Love to cook (shared dinners can easily become a thing) and regularly have small or large gatherings for good grub and gossip. Started dancing salsa and bachata 3 years ago, expect a big Latin BBQ party in early August. Enjoy a good natter about science, politics, general gossip. Fair weather runner and cyclist and I love a bit of Marvel. Masterchef Professionals, Stanley Tucci’s Italy and Race Across the World are my tv highlights.

About you: Looking for someone who’s up for hanging out, maybe the odd (slow) run or ride if you’re into it. I’m pretty social - the rest of the house is shared space so don’t feel you to hide in your bedroom!

Important point: I was recently made redundant and have booked some extensive travel for a midlife “gap-year”. For most of September then right through to early December, you will have the property to yourself… possibly longer, I haven’t planned that far ahead yet.
