Double-bed room in a two-bedroom, third-floor (top-floor) flat in the very peaceful and friendly Orchard Brae (EH4), available beginning Sep 18, 2026.

You get the main bathroom and a car park, we share the living room and kitchen, both furnished with all the essentials.

Rent is £650 per month exclusive of gas, power, and wifi, which lately average a total of £55-60 per month.

Fellow postgraduate students are preferred for council tax exemption and mutual lifestyle habits, but those willing to pay the current £225/month are also very welcome.

Ideally seeking a flatmate who values focused research time, quiet hours, understands occasional daytime long-distance family calls and friend visits, but is also up for casual chats, weekend catch-ups, or random city hangouts.

About me: I’m turning 34, male, queer, second year international PhD student at UoE from Manila, Philippines, studying plants and climate change in Southeast Asia, but my research is fully based in the Botanics (where I can give you a tour!)

Energy-permitting, I do my best to go to gym every other day and on weekends explore the city or the country for nature, history/architecture, culture, and coffee (or wine or whisky). Not big in the kitchen but any request for adobo, sinigang, or lumpia, I'm at your service!

Sounds very routine and structured but happy to meet a flatmate who can introduce me to other physical activities, hobbies, and random adventures!
