Large furnished room in Newington, plus family bathroom usually used only by you. Use of the kitchen and garden.

Perfect for visiting students or academics, here for a month, semester or academic year.

The bedroom has a double bed, book shelves, sofa, workspace, small fridge and kettle. It's on the third floor, so it's nice and quiet.

The bathroom has a bath and shower, and normally will be all yours. When family or friends come to stay, they'll share the bathroom with you. We'll give you plenty of notice when this is going to happen.

Our kitchen has an induction hob, gas oven and microwave. I love cooking, so we have equipment for cooking, and you'll have your own cupboard and space in the fridge and freezer.

We are empty nesters in a large upper villa on a quiet street but just a few minutes from lots of buses into town. Just round the corner we have a newsagents, cafe, hairdressers and convenience store. It's about 20 mins walk to the Meadows, 15 minutes to Kings Buildings, 30 minutes walk to Old College.

Our home was built in 1890, and has a lot of original features, which is beautiful, but also means it is cold in winter - so this would not suit someone who needs to work from home.

Perfect for visiting students or academics.

Simon works at Kings Buildings in Geosciences, and I work from home. I also do dog boarding, so there is often a small or medium sized dog staying.
